The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS)

The SABS is a custodian of international standards that assure importers of South African products that those products were manufactured to world class standards.

The SABS has set international standards such as ISO, IEC, CISPR and CENELEC. National standards from foreign countries including BSI, DIN, AFNOR and SAI.
It advises exporters about regulatory requirements of the countries to which
they export.

The commercial division includes the certification and TEST HOUSE Branches
(where we sent our Calabash leather) 

The Test House checks for acceptability and quality of products. Here Goods can be inspected, tested and analyzed against private, voluntary or compulsory standards.

The highly specialized testing laboratories are fully equipped to conduct tests in accordance with specifications that may comply specifically to meet national and international standards, the facilities function according to stringent standards of efficiency and effectiveness.

After the long twisting test the Calabash leather was pulled to capacity. Our results were great.
